Club Notes 13/10/2024

Good evening. We sent out a save the date for our club A.G.M which takes place on Monday 18th November at 8pm sharp in the No.1 school. We invite you all to attend as this is your club and it’s your chance to have your say. We also are looking for members to put themselves forward to join our executive committee. Nomination forms will be sent out to all paid members in the coming weeks. Roles required are Chairperson, vice chair, Registrar, Treasurer & committee members. Each position will be fully supported by existing committee members. We ask that you have the person’s permission prior to nominating them.

Minors

We went to Baltinglass last Wednesday for the semi-final of the football championship against AGB. We had a slow start but the team kept to the game plan and were leading by 2 points at halftime.

We regrouped at halftime after a good chat and the lads came back to the pitch full of positivity. The fantastic hard work ethic in the second half was obvious to see, in particular our defensive play.

It was a joint effort put in by everyone that got us into the county final on Sunday 27th. Full details to follow.

Thanks to the fantastic Blessington support on the night, it really spurned the lads on and to everyone for your messages of best wishes.

We hope to see you all get behind the lads for the final in Aughrim as these are a super bunch of lads and deserve to be where they are.
